Tanmay Agarwal

Uncanny, unorthodox and quirky are the methods which define Tanmay Agarwal - the T20 batsman. His strike rate in excess of 130 in the shortest format tells you he has the power game. But then at the first-class level, he knows how to grind and graft for runs. His strike rate in the whites is perspiring hard to stay in the 40s.

His exploits in the inter-state T20 tourneys in the last two seasons forced Sunrisers to have a look at him before IPL XI. He peeled off 250 runs at a strike rate of 162.33 in the 2016-17 season and in 2017-18, Agarwal carved out 151 runs from 5 games but again with an impressive strike rate of more than 145.

For someone who has climbed the age group ladder prevalent in Hyderabad cricket, there has been no short cut that the southpaw has opted for thus far. He packs a punch in his strokes and will definitely be worth the 20 Lakhs INR he was bought for.
