Prateek Jain

Following the footsteps of Sreenath Aravind - the ex Karnataka pacer - who retired from all forms of Cricket in 2018, Prateek Jain is an emerging left-arm seamer from Karnataka. Prateek came into the limelight through the Karnataka Premier League. Having born in Sagar in Madhya Pradesh, Prateek shifted to Bangalore on the advice of a local club cricket coach, who first spotted him at a trail in Bhopal.

Since then he has been playing first division cricket in Bangalore and climbed up the ranks to represent Karnataka at U-19s and U-23s before graduating to the senior team in 2018 making his FC debut against Gujarat. Prateek picked up 3 wickets in the match but didn't get a consistent run in the tournament. Again in 2019, the pacer made his List A debut in the Vijay Hazare Final against Tamil Nadu and his figures read: 9-0-55-1.
