Eldred Hawken

Eldred Hawken might have raised eyebrows of many when he was a surprise by Pretoria Mavericks for the Global T20 League, which never happened but people did come to know who is this latest pace bowling sensation.

Armed with the potency of swinging it both ways and nipping it off the seam, Hawken on his day can have the batsman at his mercy. Hailing from Tzaneen, Eldred's father David Hawken was the president of the Limpopo Cricket Club.

Eldred started off his career for Pretoria High school before a terrible back injury had sidelined him for a long time. But a come back since the 2015-16 season has held him in good shape.
