Raghu Sharma

Raghu Sharma, a right-arm leg-spinner from Jalandhar, has carved his path through patience and persistence. Born on March 11, 1993, he is a lower-order right-handed batter, but it is with the ball that he truly speaks - through flight, turn and quiet control.

Since his debut in the 2017–18 Ranji Trophy, Sharma has grown into a reliable force in domestic cricket, claiming 57 wickets in 12 first-class matches at an average of around 22, including a standout spell of 7 for 56. In white-ball cricket, his opportunities have been fewer, with 14 wickets in 9 List A games and 3 wickets in 3 T20s, offering only glimpses of his potential in the shorter formats.

His journey to the Mumbai Indians setup began away from the spotlight, as a net bowler honing his craft. A replacement signing in IPL 2025 and retained for 2026, he waits for his moment on the big stage. Yet to make his debut, Sharma stands as a quiet promise of spin, patience and the possibility of impact when opportunity finally arrives.
