Mohammed Salahuddin Izhar

Mohammed Izhar is a young left-arm medium-fast bowler from Bihar, representing the rise of talent from India’s emerging cricket regions. A lower-order right-handed batter, he recently stepped into the domestic circuit with Bihar.

Izhar had an impressive debut SMAT season, picking up 9 wickets in 5 games with a strong average and a notable 4-wicket haul, establishing himself as one of Bihar’s standout performers in the tournament, reflecting his effectiveness in T20 cricket. Previously associated with Chennai Super Kings as a net bowler, his performances earned him an IPL opportunity with Mumbai Indians for the 2026 season.

Yet to make his IPL debut, Izhar is viewed as a promising developing pacer. With his left-arm angle and ability to strike, IPL 2026 will be a key learning phase where impactful spells could help him establish himself as a long-term option.
