Daksh Kamra

Daksh Kamra is one of the lesser-known uncapped Indian players picked up by Kolkata Knight Riders ahead of IPL 2026. A leg-spin bowling all-rounder, Kamra was signed at his base price of 30 lakh, marking his first entry into the IPL. Unlike some other young recruits, Kamra hasn’t yet built a record in mainstream domestic cricket, which suggests that KKR’s scouting team has picked him based on potential observed in local circuits, trials or net performances rather than proven match data. This aligns with KKR’s history of backing raw spin talent and developing them within their system.

Daksh Kamra is likely to be a developmental squad player rather than an immediate starter. With established options already in the spin department, his opportunities may be limited early on. However, the season could serve as a learning platform, exposure to high-level training, mentorship and match environments.

In short, Daksh Kamra enters IPL 2026 as a long-term prospect. His progress will depend entirely on how quickly he adapts and whether he can convert raw potential into performance when opportunities come his way.
