Shrikant Mundhe

Picked in the auction ahead of IPL 2019, Shrikant Mundhe is an all-rounder who made his first-class debut in 2007 for Maharasthra. Shrikanth who has an experience of playing more than 50 first-class matches, is an all-rounder in true sense. He can get wickets when needed, chip in with handy contributions while batting lower down the order and is a fantastic fielder at the same time. Due to some impressive performances in domestic cricket, Mundhe was picked up the Pune Warriors India ahead of IPL 2011. He can be considered as a bowling all-rounder for his knack of picking wickets.

With the emergence of other youngsters in Maharashtra's team, Mundhe who was once a regular face in the team is not able to get more number of first-class matches under his belt in recent times. In Ranji season 2018-19, Mundhe played only one match throughout the season, wherein he wasn't able to perform as he would have liked to. His scores in the match against Railways were 10 & 13 respectively and the all-rounder wasn't able to bag any wickets in that match as well. It's been more than a year since Mundhe bagged his last 5-wicket haul. That 5-for came against Kerala in a List-A game which was won by Maharasthra convincingly. Since then, Mundhe is yet to fire.

Kolkata Knight Riders got him for his base price of 20 lakh ahead of IPL 2019, but looking at the pool of talented players the franchise's got, it might be a bit difficult for Mundhe to sneak in to the playing XI.
