Umar Nazir Mir

Born in Pulwama, Jammu and Kashmir, Umar's biggest strength is his pace. At 6 feet four inches, he is one of the tallest pacers in the country lingering in the domestic arena. Coming from a humble background, Umar is a hit-the-deck hard kind of a pacer and also, known to swing the ball both ways.

It was in the Syed Mushtaq Ali trophy in 2017, Umar flummoxed some of the strong teams with his hostile pace and swing movement. With 9 scalps in five matches at an average of 15, Umar was selected in the North Zone squad.

Successes followed the 23-year old who continued to take leap. He was also included in the Deodhar Trophy 2018. With age by his side, Umar can be a great prospect for J&K.
