'If all I'm trying to do is play that next game, then I'm not necessarily growing as a player' · AFP

The New Zealand quick tells Cricbuzz how undergoing surgery early in his career, and carrying a lot of drinks, taught him how to choose his internal narrative

Matt Henry doesn't take the titanium screws in his spine very seriously. "I should have a stronger back than anybody, technically," he jibes.

We are in New Zealand's team room at the Leela Palace in Chennai. Sitting face-to-face with Henry, you just know that there's more to his perfect posture than the screws in his back.
