Lakshya Raichandani to lead India in U19 Asia Cup

Aaryavir Sehwag and Anvay Dravid have been included for the eight-team event to be played in Oman from November 5
Uttarakhand’s Lakshya Raichandani will lead India in the upcoming ACC Men’s U19 Asia Cup to be held in Muscat, Oman from November 5 to 14. Raichandani continues to retain captaincy of the U19 one-day setup with Yashbardhan Chauhan, who captained in the two Youth Tests against Australia in September and October, named his deputy.
The squad also includes Aaryavir Sehwag, son of former India opener Virender Sehwag, and Anvay Dravid, son of former India captain and coach Rahul Dravid. India have made only one change from the squad that beat Australia 3-0 in the Youth ODIs, replacing Chigurupati Venkata with Ishan Sood.
The tournament features eight teams placed into two groups of four, with the top two from each group proceeding to the semifinal stage. India are placed in Group A alongside Nepal, Pakistan and UAE and will kickstart their campaign on November 6 against Nepal at the OCC Turf 1 Ground in Muscat.
