Mahipal Lomror

A huge fan of Adam Gilchrist's explosive style of batting, Mahipal Lomror is a similar left-hander who loves to play his shots without fearing about the situation or opposition bowlers. Although Lomror started out as a specialist batsman, he slowly developed into a handy all-rounder who could bowl efficient left-arm spin. It was the 2016 U19 World Cup that gathered recognition for the young man as he stifled batsmen with his slow bowling while also producing some valuable cameos towards the end of the innings.

Like most U19 stars, Lomror also landed an IPL contract as the Delhi Daredevils signed him up although he didn't get a game for them at all and got picked up by the Rajasthan Royals in 2018. Prior to that IPL, Lomror was Rajasthan’s joint-leading wicket-taker at the 2017-18 Ranji Trophy. Unfortunately, he struggled to get much game-time again. It was only after his move to RCB in 2022 the Lomror started to feature in the XI more consistently. Although he had three fairly middling seasons with both bat and ball, Lomror was seen as a handy lower-order batter to have in the side. His performance at the domestic level continued to be middling as well and he didn’t quite have a standout season. Heading into the 2025 season, he was bought by the Gujarat Titans for INR 1.7 Cr.
