Erin Bermingham

Just like Suzie Bates, Erin Bermingham caught the game of cricket while playing with her two brothers in their backyard. She grew up playing in boys team and for a long time did not realize that women's cricket existed.

A right-hand bat and leg-spinner, Bermingham represents Canterbury Magicians in the State League. She made her debut in the shortest format of the game first, while the One-Day debut came a few months later in 2010.

Bermingham has been a constant member of the White Ferns side and it is her leg-breaks that earn her place in the XI. She made an impact in only her third ODI, where she took 4 for 35 and won the player of the match.

Having missed out on the 2013 World Cup, Bermingham will look to make amends when she turns out for her first outing in the mega event in 2017.

Interesting Facts: Erin Bermingham is also a Front line Police Officer in Christchurch.

She is inspired by Roger Federer and reckons he's a remarkable athlete.
