Mohammad Asghar
Overview
Mohammad Asghar
A first-class debut before turning 16 in December 2014 meant Mohammad Asghar was destiny's child sent on earth to do one thing - play cricket. His journey since then has seen trysts with the Pakistan A team and also a call up to the national team in late 2016 as a prospective back-up for Yasir Shah who had problems with his fitness on the tour to Australia.
His consistent showing at the domestic circuit ensured Peshawar Zalmi picked him for the first edition of the PSL. He responded with 11 wickets from 9 games and ended up as the second highest wicket taker among the tweakers only behind Mohammad Nawaz. Still, a teenager, Asghar's progress has been closely monitored and a national call up won't be far away, if he keeps chipping away with his performances.
A young boy with immense self-confidence. He has had words of praise from the choicest of Pakistani cricket circles. Another prodigy from an Asian nation awaits the big stage..
