Born in Adelaide, South Australia - Mark Cosgrove is a left-handed top order batsman who has represented Australia in three ODIs. Considered to be a power-hitter, Cosgrove had a memorable ODI debut as he smashed 74 runs against Bangladesh. However, due to fitness issues, Cosgrove wasn't able to elongate his international career, with him being dropped from the squad soon after his international debut.

The left hander has represented South Australia and Tasmania in Australia's domestic circuit and has played numerous match defining knocks in his domestic career. His first-class debut came at the age of 18 and the swashbuckler was also named the 'Bradman Young Cricketer of the Year' in 2005. Mark scored heavily in the Sheffield Shield for couple of seasons, he has played for Glamorgan and was signed by Leicestershire in March 2015. Cosgrove had a scintillating start to his Leicestershire career and owing to his pivotal knocks, the left hander was named as the Club's Cricketer of the Year in 2017.

Being a clean striker of the ball, Cosgrove has also shined in the Royal One-Day Cup and T20 Blast over the last few years. He has scored 14000-plus runs in first-class cricket and these numbers prove how good a batsman the southpaw has been in years gone by.
