Ehsan Adil

Ehsan Adil is a right-arm fast bowler from Pakistan. Born on March 15, 1993, Ehsan was part of the 2012 ICC Under-19 World Cup Pakistan squad. When Adil came on the scene, he was very raw. He played for Habib Bank Limited and Faisalabad Wolves in the domestic circuit.

However, when Umar Gul and Junaid Khan were ruled out for the second Test against South Africa in Centurion in 2012-13, the selectors roped in Adil in the side and he straightaway got the nod to feature in the playing XI against South Africa. He ended up with two wickets in the game.

He made his ODI debut against Scotland when Pakistan toured the UK in May 2013, but since then, he has struggled to make it into the side. Ehsan made a comeback to the national side after a host of fast bowlers were injured. He was returning to international cricket after a gap of 18 months and his first game was a Test against New Zealand in Dubai in 2014. He picked up only two wickets and was overlooked for the following Test. However, the selectors preferred to stick with Adil and named him in the 15-man World Cup squad.

But he only got a couple of games and was not impressive enough to be pursued with after that. But with age on his side, Adil can always channelize his performances and come back into the national team.
