Overview

Lwandiswa Zuma

Lwandiswa Mbulelo Zuma - a right arm fast bowler made his first-class debut for KwaZulu-Natal Inland in March 2014 against Eastern Province. However, Zuma's figures of 11 for 103 playing for Free State in a Sunfoil Cup provincial match remains to be one of his memorable performances as the team won by a massive margin of 239 runs. The right arm pacer completed his academics from the prestigious Maritzburg College and came through the KZN youth development programme to follow his passion.

As a young fast bowler, Zuma once faced a fatal injury and hence was out of action for close to 20 months. It was one of the most difficult phases in his careers as Zuma had given up the hopes of playing professional cricket as he went through a lot of physical and emotional stress owing to that injury. Zuma prefers playing the longer format of the sport as compared to the limited over formats as he can set attacking fields and that's exactly what most fast bowlers love to do.
