Delissa Kimmince

She's not just been an all-rounder in cricket - she bats, bowls - Delissa Kimmince has battled existential career options, starting off with cricket, trying her hand at AFL and then in a few odd professions before rekindling her love for cricket.

She started off as a child prodigy of sorts, as an 18-year-old tearaway quick in the 2007-08 season, where she played a crucial hand in reversing Australia's fortunes from 2-1 down in a five-match series to beat New Zealand 3-2. He went on a hiatus soon after the 2009 World Cup, which even included a brief stint in England, but returned for the 2012-13 season, this time as a seasoned all-rounder, who opened the batting as well.

She also led Queensland Fire to the Women's T20 domestic championship, and also finished as the tournament's Most Valuable Player. Just when he was hitting her peak, a lower back injury, one she claimed didn't allow her to sit beyond twenty minutes, derailed her 2015 World Cup plans. But she returned soon after, this time cementing her spot in the Southern Stars, evidenced by her becoming one of the fourteen players to be centrally contracted for the 2018-19 season.
