Stats: Mandhana scales the runs and tons summit in Women’s internationals

Mithali Raj had been the leading run-scorer in Women’s international cricket for 1,888 days
Extending her imperious run, Smriti Mandhana has surpassed her former India captain Mithali Raj for most runs as well as most hundreds in Women’s international cricket. Mandhana got there during her stroke-filled 124 against Hong Kong, China in India’s second outing at the ongoing Women’s T20 Asia Cup 2026 in Dubai.
Earlier this season, Deepti Sharma had gone past Jhulan Goswami's tally of 355 wickets - during the T20 World Cup in England - to top the wickets charts.
Here’s a look at all the key numbers highlighting Mandhana’s feat.
10880 runs for Mandhana in across formats is the most for anyone in Women’s international cricket, surpassing Mithali Raj’s tally of 10868. Suzie Bates, Charlotte Edwards and Stafanie Taylor are the other batters in the 10,000 run-club.
Most runs in Women’s international cricket
England’ Myrtle Maclagan was the first to breach the 1000-run mark in the Women’s game (Tests), and topped the charts until Rachael Heyhoe-Flint went past her in March 1969. The early to mid Nineties saw a musical chair contest between Janette Brittin and Debbie Hockley at the top. Belinda Clark usurped Hockley during the 2004/05 India tour, and was later surpassed by Karen Rolton in 2009. Charlotte Edwards took over the following year, and stood at the top for well over a decade, until Mithali Raj attained the pole position in July 2021.

An elite run
Mandhana has been in stellar form for over two years now, a run that started with South Africa’s tour of India in June 2024. She aggregated 1362 runs in ODIs in 2025, comfortably the most in a calendar year in the format, a streak that coincided with India’s World Cup winning campaign at home. Before that, the T20I hundred at Trent Bridge had put her in a select group of Women’s cricketers to register a hundred in each of the three formats, alongside Tammy Beaumont, Heather Knight, Beth Mooney, and Laura Wolvaardt.

18 hundreds for Mandhana is also the most for anyone in Women’s internationals, surpassing 17 each for Meg Lanning and Laura Wolvaardt. Hayley Matthews (15) is the next in this list, while Suzie Bates and Tammy Beaumont have 14 apiece. Mandhana has two hundreds each in Tests and T20Is, and 14 in ODIs, second only to Lanning’s 15.
124 - Mandhana’s 124 is now the highest individual score for India Women in T20Is, as she surpassed her own 112 scored at Trent Bridge last year. Harmanpreet Kaur’s 103 against New Zealand at Providence, Guyana during the T20 World Cup 2018 is the only other individual hundred for India in the format.
It was also just the second hundred in the Women’s T20 Asia Cup history, after Chamari Athapaththu’s 119* against Malaysia at Dambulla in 2024.
93 - Mandhana is now levelled with Mithali for most 50-plus scores across formats at 93. Both are well clear of the next best Charlotte Edwards, who had 80. The left-hander recorded her 37th 50-plus score in T20Is on Thursday, the next most being 33 by Beth Mooney.
95 - Mandhana now has 95 sixes in T20Is, the most for India, surpassing Harmanpreet’s 89. Only Sophie Devine, Deandra Dottin and Chamari Athapaththu have hit more in Women’s T20Is.
7 - Mandhana hit seven maximums on Thursday, the second-most for India Women in a T20I innings, after eight by Harmanpreet against New Zealand at Providence in 2018.
4 - Mandhana has become the first cricketer to aggregate 500-plus runs in Women’s T20Is in four different calendar years. Before 2026, she had gone past the mark in 2018, 2022 and 2024. Four batters have done that thrice each: Athapaththu (2022, 2024, 2026), Laura Wolvaardt (2023, 2024, 2026), Esha Oza (2022, 2024, 2025) and Shafali Verma (2022, 2024, 2026).
96 - The difference between India’s top-two scorers of the day - Mandhana 124 and Shafali Verma 28 - is the highest for them in T20Is. Mandhana was a part of the previous record too, as 69 runs separated her 112 and Harleen Deol’s 43 at Trent Bridge last year.
64.25% - Mandhana’s contribution of 64.25% to the Indian total is the second-best for them in the format in any completed innings (all-out or full 20 overs). Harmanpreet’s 41 in India’s 62 all-out (66.13%) at Billericay in June 2011, tops this list.
193/5 - India’s team total is the second-highest in Women’s T20 Asia Cup, behind their own 201/5 against UAE in Dambulla in 2024.
137 runs - India’s victory margin of 137 is their second-highest in Women’s T20Is, only behind 142 runs against Malaysia in 2018. Each of India Women’s four 100-plus run wins have come in multi-nation tournaments, the other two being by 104 runs against UAE in Asia Cup 2022 and by 100 runs against Barbados at the Birmingham Commonwealth Games 2022.
