[What was your thought process?] I was looking to play straight and bat as many overs as I can. [On adapting] Yeah, I managed to... I didn't change anything. I managed to continue. [Message to others] Just presenting the full face and enjoy the game of cricket.
Zimbabwe will be pleased on two counts: they managed to bat through almost the entire quota of overs and came close to breaching the 200-run mark. It was a flat surface with little to no assistance for the pacers. As a result, the Indian quicks resorted to wobble-seam deliveries and targeted the stumps more often than not, hoping to force errors from the batters. The visitors were helped by a bit of luck, with two dropped catches in the powerplay, but managed to keep the pacers at bay. However, signs of vulnerability emerged once Shree Charani came into the attack. Zimbabwe were 55/3 after 15 overs, with the 200-run mark looking increasingly distant, especially given how things had unfolded in the T20I series. Beloved Biza carried on from where she left off in the last T20I, stitching together a couple of vital partnerships to take Zimbabwe closer to the 200-run mark. Mavunga's 23-ball 29 was equally impactful. That said, India were a bit sloppy in the field and will rue the missed chances, although the target doesn't appear particularly challenging. Back in 30 to catch the reply...
